An athletic trainer is a healthcare professional who specializes in preventing, diagnosing, treating, and rehabilitating injuries and medical conditions related to physical activity and sports. They work with athletes and physically active individuals to ensure safe participation in sports, manage acute injuries, and design rehabilitation and conditioning programs. Athletic Trainers are often part of a healthcare team and collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and coaches.

learn the basics of athletic training, sports medicine, and injury care while
assisting the school’s certified athletic trainers.
Purpose:
· To give students hands-on experience
with taping, first aid, and injury prevention
· To teach teamwork, responsibility,
and professionalism in an athletic setting
· To help students explore careers in
healthcare, physical therapy, or sports medicine
If a student
